Ryanair has announced that it will launch six new routes from East Midlands airport including a route to the Croatian city of Zadar from April 2012.
The low cost airline said that new routes to Almeria, Barcelona, Chania, Corfu, Rhodes and Zadar will increase its traffic at East Midlands to more than 1.8 million passengers a year.
Commenting on the new route, Ryanair's spokesman Dara Brady said:
“With a total of 36 low fare routes from East Midlands this summer, passengers can beat the recession by choosing Ryanair’s guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to exciting destinations all over Europe.
“To celebrate these six new routes from East Midlands, Ryanair is releasing 1 million seats on sale for just £9.99 for travel across Europe in December and January.”
Ryanair’s flights from East Midlands to Zadar will start operating from April 2012, and tickets will be on sale from tomorrow.
The new route will be Ryanair’s second link to Zadar from the UK as the airline already flies to the city from London Stansted airport.
