Germanwings has announced on Wednesday (January 11th) the launch of flights between Cologne and Rijeka for summer 2012.
The low cost German airline will operate new service from March 27th to October 25th, 2012 and offer three flights a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Rijeka, the coastal city situated in the Kvarner region, is the sixth Croatian city to be included in the Germanwings’ network. The airline, which introduced low cost flights to Croatia in 2004, also flies to Zagreb, Split, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Pula.
Tickets for the new service are already available for booking on Germanwings’ website. To celebrate 10 year anniversary of its operations, the airline has released 2 million tickets with prices starting from EUR29.99. Tickets are available for booking until January 15th for travel across its network between January 21st and October 27th.
Last month, Germanwings announced that it is expanding its service out of Stuttgart this year with the launch of flights to Dubrovnik (April) and additional service to Split (June).
