10 July – 25 August 2009 | Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the largest and most celebrated cultural event in Croatia, kicks off on July 10th. Opening ceremony with music and fireworks is followed by theatre, concerts, opera and dance productions on a series of open-air stages throughout the city.

Established in 1950 as a showcase for local talent, the festival nowadays boasts a high quality of international performers, both solo and ensemble, many of them among the top in the world.

The festival will run until August 25th and host more than 2000 artists and 70 performances in its 60th edition.
