9 – 10 August 2009 | Kastav Blues Festival gathers world-famous blues musicians. The festival has been established in memory of the late Philadelphia Jerry Ricks, one of the most remarkable exponents of traditional country blues, who spent his last days in Kastav. The festival, organised by Kastav Tourist Board, is held annually in August.
This year’s Kastav Blues Festival will feature performances by some great blues musicians including Keith Thompson's Strange Brew, Rick Franklin, Michael Roach, Michael Messer and Ed Genis. There will be also two workshops during the festival. Entrance is free both to the festival and workshops.
Kastav, a town with a rich tradition and cultural heritage, is located near the city of Rijeka and Opatija Riviera.
