The DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb hotel is set to open its doors in the Croatian capital this autumn. The news was announced by the hotel’s General Director Karin van den Berg at the press conference in Zagreb on Wednesday (June 4).
The new hotel will be a part of the office and shopping complex Green Gold Business Centre located in a prominent position within Zagreb's central business district at the intersection of Zagreb’s Radnicka Cesta and Vukovarska streets.
Hilton Worldwide announced the signing of a management agreement with Croatian company B.P Pluto d.o.o. for a DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb in September last year. The worldwide hotel chain has been represented in Croatia since 2005 with the upscale Hilton Imperial Dubrovnik and Hilton Marjan Split, the later being under development.
The new hotel will have 152 rooms, a restaurant, spa and wellness centre, swimming pool and business centre. More than 800 square metres of conference space also will be available for guests to host a variety of business meetings, executive board sessions and social events. The hotel will employ around 70 people, mainly locals.
The exact date for the opening of the DoubleTree by Hilton Zagreb has not been set yet, and reservations will be possible once the date is known. It is, however, possible to make the reservations for next year through Hilton’s global booking system. The room rates are expected to be between 120 and 200 Euros per night.
