13 – 15 April 2012 | International festival of wine and food Zagreb Wine Gourmet Weekend will be held in the Glyptotheque of the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sceinces in Zagreb from April 13 to April 15.

The festival has become one of the most important gastronomical and oenological events of the region in the last four years. Local wine lovers can get acquainted with the carefully selected wines and wine producers, as well as the latest harvests of the important local wine producers. Many world known and local experts have announced their attendance at the festival, and will take part in numerous panel discussions, classes and tastings.

The program of the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Weekend has been conceived so as to allow all visitors and exhibitors good opportunities to conclude business, experience additional oenological and gastronomical education and enjoy top quality wine and specially selected foods from the entire region as well as great entertainment all in one place.

Along with the tasting of wine and food at the exhibition stands, the program will include wine and food tastings and workshops, including the IMW (Institute of Masters of Wine) workshop, interesting thematic panels with world-known sommeliers and chefs, tastings and cooking with the stars of the global oeno-gastro scene as well as many other attractive surprises for the visitors. A short break from the bustling festival will be provided by the team of the Zagreb Gourmet Weekend, who have prepared exclusive projections of films on the most famous wine makers and wine projects in the near-by Centar Kaptol.

Aside from the daily part of the program, the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Weekend will also have a rich evening program, where the guests may savour the offer of the wine bar and top beers and the music which will be provided by the famous DJs and, exclusively for the Weekend, by some of the most famous regional wine makers.
