11 – 13 May 2012 | The exhibition of wine and winemaking equipment Vinistra 2012 will be held in Porec (Istria) from 11 to 13 May 2012. This is the 19th edition of one of the most renowned events of this kind in Croatia and the region.
Having established itself as one of the most distinguished international wine events, the exhibition will once again attract lovers of wine and gastro experience from Croatia and abroad.
One of the main objectives of Vinistra is the promotion of Istrian wines on Croatian and international market and the education of wine consumers.
Winemakers, olive oil makers, brandy producers and equipment manufacturers traditionally present their products at Vinistra. The exhibition also features a series of wine tastings, gastronomic events, lectures, presentations and round tables.
Some of the leading restaurants in the region present their gastronomic offer within the Vinistra Gourmet programme. International competition The World of Malvasia is also part of the event.
The exhibition is organised by Vinistra, Association of Winegrowers and Winemakers of Istria. The Association was founded in 1994 with the aim to provide expert assistance to its members, connect and represent producers, preserve traditional winemaking, promote wines and create the image of Istrian wines as high-quality and natural products.
Vinistra organises and promotes Istrian wine producers nationally and internationally. The Association has over 100 members, including the best and most prominent Istrian winemakers, but also young winemakers at the beginning of their serious wine production.
