Slovenia is set to lift its block on Croatia’s bid to join European Union. The announcement was made after talks on Friday between Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor and his Croatian counterpart Jadranka Kosor.
“We will immediately propose to end restraints of Croatia's EU accession negotiating process,” Slovenian Prime Minister Borut Pahor said after the meeting.
“We opened a new chapter in relations and proved that friendly relations and respect can lead to resolution of problems,” Kosor said.
Zagreb is set to withdraw the disputed documents that prejudice the border between the two states.
Slovenia had blocked Croatia's EU negotiations since December because of the border dispute.
