German low-cost airline Germanwings announced the launch of a new direct line Dubrovnik-Hamburg starting from May 2nd 2010.

Flights went on sale on Thursday starting at €39.99 one way including taxes and charges and are available to book at www.germanwings.com.

Germanwings officials said that the launch of a new line follows a very successful operation on the Croatian market.

The airline carried a total of 235 thousand passengers to Croatia in the first seven months of this year, 9 per cent more than the same period of last year. Also, the individual bookings have increased to 82 per cent in the first seven months of this year, 2 per cent more than in 2008.
