Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor announced on Saturday (November 28th) that EUR 273 million from the 2010 budget will be allocated for activities and projects related to EU membership.

Most of the funds will go towards adjustments in the agriculture sector. Croatia will also spend money to bring border security in line with Schengen criteria and on judicial reform.

Croatia hopes to wrap up its EU accession talks by mid-2010.
