Irish low cost airline, Ryanair, today announced eight new routes from Brussels and Dusseldorf to destinations in Europe for next year. New routes include flights from Brussels to Zadar from March 2010.
The airline’s chief executive, Michael O'Leary said: “With a total of 57 low-fare routes from Brussels Charleroi next summer Belgian consumers/visitors can beat the recession by choosing Ryanair's guaranteed lowest fares and no fuel surcharges to exciting destinations all over Europe.”
The new routes, together with increased frequencies to 14 existing destinations, will increase Ryanair's annual traffic at Charleroi to over 4 million, sustaining 4,000 local jobs.
The airline also announced it would increase its fleet at Dusseldorf Weeze, 70km from the city, by one to eight, and add two new routes.
Zadar flights will certainly delight those who plan to attend next year’s Garden Festival. The festival takes place annually on a beachfront location in the fishing village Petrcane near Zadar. Since its inception in 2006, it has grown considerably and established itself as one of the most popular events for festival goers all over Europe.
This year’s double weekend whammy was followed with a series of three-day and night festivals throughout the summer.
