The New York Times has announced that it will launch its international news supplement in Poslovni Dnevnik in Croatia. The publication joins a global network of newspapers in 29 countries that carry The New York Times international weekly, first introduced in 2002.

The weekly section, which will be published in Croatian, provides readers with a selection of articles from The New York Times. The supplement retains the layout and typography of The New York Times and includes news coverage, features, commentary, color photos and graphics covering politics, world affairs, business, culture, style and social trends. It is prepared in New York by The New York Times News Service.

Founded in 2004, Poslovni Dnevnik is a business daily that publishes Monday through Friday in Croatia. The newspaper is part of the Styria Media Group, which also owns numerous newspapers, magazines, book publishers, and radio and television programs. The paper operates an online edition at poslovni.hr.

The New York Times News Service, which produces The New York Times international weekly, provides more than 200 articles daily from all sections of The Times to more than 500 news organizations in 50 countries. The News Service also maintains The New York Times Photo and Graphics Service. Articles and images are distributed via the Web site at nytsyn.com.
