The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) will promote Croatia's facilities for MICE tourism and tourism in general at the IMEX 2010, the worldwide exhibition for meetings and incentive travel, which takes place in Frankfurt from May 25 to 27.

HTZ said its Convention and Incentive Bureau would step up activities on international markets this year in order to increase tourism revenue, adding that participants in conferences and incentive events spent four to five times more on average than ordinary tourists.

IMEX 2010 opened its doors yesterday to an anticipated 3,800 hosted buyers from across Europe and long-haul markets including North America, Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa, India, the Middle East, and Asia plus many thousands of trade visitors from around the world. All will have the opportunity to meet and do business with 3,500 different exhibitors from over 150 countries over three days.
