A total of 25,300 people visited six national parks in Croatia in the first three months of 2010, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported on Friday. The highest number of tourists, 10,500 precisely, visited the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
The Statistics Office reported that two thirds of visitors were foreigners. The number of sightseers touring the national parks - Brijuni, Kornati, Krka, Paklenica, the Pltivice Lakes and Risnjak - went up by 12 per cent when comparing to the first quarter of 2009.
