People embarking on holidays in Croatia this summer will benefit from costs that are lower than in 2009, according to the Post Office Travel Money survey.
The organisation's latest Holiday Costs Barometer revealed that prices for a basket of ten popular tourist items are 3 per cent cheaper than they were last year.
The basket of goods surveyed included a cup of coffee, a bottle of beer in a bar, a soft drink, mineral water, suncream, postcard and stamp to UK, insect repellent, pack of cigarettes, English newspaper and three-course evening meal with bottle of house wine.
Sarah Munro, head of Post Office Travel Money, said: 'The biggest discounts have been on the cost of eating out, as restaurants battle for business with mouth-watering meal incentives.'
The latest Holiday Costs Barometer revealed that it is on average 11 per cent cheaper to eat out in Croatia this year.
