The new terminal "B" opened at the Dubrovnik airport on Wednesday (May 12th). With the new terminal, the airport’s capacity increased to 2 million passengers per year. The construction of the terminal cost a total of around EUR 24 million.
Croatian Premier Jadranka Kosor announced that the government will invest EUR 68 million in 2010 to expand the network of motorways in the Dubrovnik county (Dubrovacko-Neretvanska County).
The negotiations are also in progress with the European Investment Bank and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, for the construction of the A1 motorway (Dubrovnik) and the A10 (border with Bosnia and Herzegovina - port of Ploce). The project cost is estimated at EUR 78 million and work will start this year and should be completed in 2012.
The Croatian Premier also announced the start of construction of the bridge on the Peljesac peninsula, which should be completed in 2012.
