Travellers regularly return to Dubrovnik, a city with an intriguing appeal, according to the Croatian National Tourist Office director.
Meri Matesic, UK director of the organisation, said that the city has a 'timeless beauty' that attracts visitors from around the world, as well as attractions such as the recently opened cable car at Mount Srd.
Visitors to Dubrovnik were advised to arrange their trip in September and October, when the weather is still enjoyable but not too hot and there are fewer crowds.
'It doesn't matter how many times you visit Dubrovnik, or any other coastal city or island, there will always be something that will intrigue you’, Matesic said.
'30% of all UK travellers to Croatia go to Dubrovnik, and every year there are more and more of them.'
