Croatia and Slovenia will continue cooperating in the promotion of their tourism sectors in foreign markets in 2011, primarily in Israel and in South America. The EU member Slovenia will also help Croatia to draw EU funds for tourist trade, according to conclusions of a Croatian-Slovenian conference held in the Istrian coastal resort of Rovinj on Friday within the Croatian Tourism Days event.
After the conference, Croatian and Slovenian Tourism Ministers Damir Bajs and Darja Radic signed a protocol on cooperation.
The signing of the protocol and today's conference ensued after the successful cooperation of the two countries in the promotion of their tourism sectors in China and India earlier this year under the slogan "Experience Croatia-Feel Slovenia".
The cooperation will facilitate the two countries' efforts to become the most competitive countries in the region, and this year they have already achieved good results, faring better than the European average, Radic said.
