Spanish hotel company Sol Meliá has opened additional rooms at its Stella Maris Resort complex on the coast of Umag in Croatia with the opening of the four-star Sol Amfora Hotel with 134 apartments. The new apartments complement the existing Sol Stella (3* apartments), Meliá Istrian Villas (luxury villas) and Stella Maris (4* camp site), to satisfy the needs of a wide range of different types of traveller.
The new Sol Amfora apartments enjoy a fantastic location surrounded by beautiful natural scenery including a spectacular coastal inlet which make the resort an authentic environmental oasis, all only 2 kilometres from Umag, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Croatia.
The Sol Amfora provides four different types of apartment: Classic, Premium, Superior and Family, with 1 or 2 bedrooms and measuring up to 61m2. The apartments cater for between 3 and 5 people, and all of them provide a kitchen, bathroom, lounge and terrace.
The Stella Maris Resort also offers a great choice of dining options including two à la carte restaurants, one buffet restaurant and a pizzeria, as well as snack bars and cafés. Amongst the facilities are also a salt-water swimming pool, children’s pool, games centre, supermarket and Internet corners spread throughout the hotel.
Sol Meliá remains committed to Croatia as an emerging destination, consistent with its policy to improve and revitalise its hotel portfolio, as seen in 2010 with the rebranding of two hotels to the Meliá brand (Meliá Coral and Meliá Istrian Villas), and now with the extension of the Stella Maris Resort complex.
