Flights from Chicago to Zagreb, with continuing service to Belgrade, which were supposed to launch last night from Chicago Rockford International Airport (RDF) have been cancelled.
Air Plus, the Chicago based tour operator and a charter company which contracted the flights with Swift Air, has issued the following statement on its website:
“On June 17, 2011, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) grounded all flights by Swift Air, the carrier with whom Air Plus contracted, without any notice to Air Plus. As of now, all scheduled Air Plus flights are cancelled.
Air Plus is very distressed by this development and the inconvenience this may cause our customers. Air Plus will begin refunding passengers on Monday, June 20, 2011. Air Plus will update this announcement as we get more information.”
This news will be updated when further information is available.
