World champion in high jump Blanka Vlasic was presented with the 2010 European Sportswoman of the Year trophy by Charles Camenzuli, Secretary General of AIPS Europe and Hon. Life General Secretary of AIPS during the High Jump Meeting held in Split on Saturday, June 24. Vlasic won the 2010 edition of the AIPS – Europe UEPS Award. 

Blanka Vlasic thrilled the local crowd by winning the Split meeting and for the first time this year managed to reach the 2.00 metre height. 

Vlasic will be one of the major attractions during the next Athletics World Championships to be held in Daegu, South Korea this summer (27 August – 4 September 2011) in a bid to defend the world title won in Berlin as well as to emulate the 2.05 m height reached during the 2010 Continental Cup held last year in Split.
