Visitors to Dubrovnik can enjoy ice-skating in the forthcoming days with the opening of ice rink at the Ilijina Glavica outdoor sports grounds on 1 January 2010.
The ice rink will be open daily from 10am to 10pm until mid February, and possibly longer depending on interest. The size of the rink is 450 square metres and it can accommodate 115 skaters.
The entrance fee is 20 Kunas (£2.50) for an hour of skating and includes rent of ice skates. Skating school will be also organised in collaboration with the Medvescak Hockey Club at the price of 200 Kunas, and, depending on interest, a school of hockey. The most successful skaters will be awarded the tickets for one of the Medvescak matches in Zagreb.
Various entertaining programmes will also be organised including dance shows and tournaments on ice.
