The Yacht Harbour Association has announced that Mandalina Marina in Croatia has gained 5 Gold Anchors after a recent assessment. This is Croatia's first Gold Anchor marina.
Geographically, Mandalina is a perfect location to build a marina which was originally a naval base. With natural protection from the peninsula, Mandalina is a brand new, 367 berth marina for vessels up to 75m. This is a tranquil, idyllic marina, offering abundant natural beauty amongst the numerous islands and national parks.
Building this marina and its accommodation has been a fantastic boost for the small village of Mandalina, offering a natural setting within the vicinity of a historical centre.
The Regional Director & Marina Manager Mr. Artun Ertem says: "With the synergy created since the involvement of the Turkish Dogus Group with D -Marin Marinas Group Brand, as the partner of Croatian NCP Group and as of being sole Management Company for Mandalina Marina since 2009, there has been numerous improvements within the quantity and quality of services and facilities at this very first Croatian Mega Yacht Marina. These improvements have been made according to the Code of Practice declared by the British Marine Federation which is a fundamental standard for international marinas. With the awareness of the privilege and responsibility of being the first Croatian Marina with 5 Gold Anchors awarded by TYHA, our sensitivity and care with the set standards in terms of environmental and operational matters will continue by developing each day. Mandalina Marina has become the fourth marina within the Marinas Group chain possessing 5 Gold Anchor besides D-Marin Turgutreis in Bodrum, D-Marin Didim and D-Marin Göcek in Turkey. We would like to see other Croatian marinas with 5 Gold Anchors also, therefore we strongly suggest them to become a member of TYHA for the integration with international marina standards and networking."
The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) provides support for marinas and related business throughout the UK and internationally.
The Gold Anchor Award Scheme, which has been operating for 23 years is based on the TYHA Code of Practice for the design construction and operation of marinas. Ratings range from one to five gold anchors. Any award issued is a sure sign of a credible, quality marina with the number of anchors demonstrating the facilities and standard of service available to berth holders and full compliance with statutory regulations.
