The German national carrier Lufthansa announced this week the launch of weekly direct flights from Munich to Croatian city of Pula for summer 2012. Along with a route to Pula, Lufthansa will expand its European network with three other routes from Munich hub with flights to Montpellier, Odessa and Valencia.
Flights to Pula will commence on May 5th 2012 and operate on a weekly basis (on Saturdays) until October 13th 2012. The new route will mainly target leisure travellers.
“We are delighted to be able to further expand our presence at our Bavarian hub in Munich” said Marjana Zigun, Network Planning Manager for Lufthansa in Munich. “We held important meetings with both Pula and Montpellier Airport at the World Routes event in Berlin.”
From 3 June 2012, Lufthansa will fly from Berlin Brandenburg to Zagreb four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), three times a week to Split (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), and once a week to Dubrovnik and Zadar (Saturday).
