The Kempinski luxury hotel chain has announced that it has opened its EUR 1.60bn (USD 2.31bn) hotel complex in Savudrija, Istria.
Construction of the five star Kempinski Hotel Adriatic started in 2007 and was financed by the Hypo Alpa Adria Bank. The complex includes the first 18-hole golf course in the country, outdoor and indoor swimming pools, bars, restaurants, sports objects and wellness programs, including other contents.
The official opening of the hotel will be on 28 August 2009. However, the hotel has already accommodated guests from Austria and Germany.
The resort will also offer for sale 22 prestigious villas and 20 apartments managed by Kempinski Residences.
