Headwater, one of the UK leading activity holidays specialists, has added new cycling tour to Croatia to its walking and cycling collection in the coming year.
Coastal Croatia Cycling is the new 8-day cycling holiday which will explore the varied trails of Istria’s western coast. Taking in Vodnjan (Istria’s ancient capital), the Brijuni Archipelago, the coastal town of Rovinj and yacht-lined waterfront of Porec, the trip is ideal for occasional cyclists who love exploring sleepy villages, mediaeval plazas, laid-back harbour-front dining and charming hotels.
The first tour departure date is set for May 1st 2012, and the last for September 18th 2012. The holiday starts from £1058pp (tour only) and from £1,289pp (including flights). For both options, the price includes continental breakfast, one lunch, three evening meals, and airport transfers.
Coastal Croatia Cycling is one of the seven new trips that Headwater has introduced for 2012. Other trips include new cycling tours to Holland and Spain, and walking tours to Cuba, France and Italy.
Commenting on the news, Catherine Crone, MD of Headwater, said: “Both walking and cycling are ideal ways for inquisitive travellers to explore a country at their own pace, soaking up its sights, sounds and scents as they explore.
“And with accommodation on our new tours ranging from a converted C15 mill and a Michelin-starred farmhouse to an eco-hotel built around a large lime tree, holidaymakers are assured that they’ll always stay somewhere that’s been hand-picked to reflect the local charms and regional specialities.”
