Essentially Prestige has introduced weddings and blessings packages in its new 2012 "Love Croatia" brochure. The UK travel specialist for Croatia will offer two locations for ceremonies, the beautiful island of Rab in the Kvarner region and the walled city of Dubrovnik in the very south of Croatia.
Wedding packages on the island of Rab provide great value for money as they start from as little as €2500 (approximately £2170) for a wedding celebration for a party of ten and include the official marriage ceremony and registration of documents.
The celebration package includes: the transport of guests from hotel to ceremony venue, hire of venue, flower posy for the bride, photographer and CD of photos, three glasses of sparkling wine per person plus, soft drinks and canapés. Also included are a wedding cake and the use of a water-taxi for photos. Dinner parties, live music, discos and fireworks can be incorporated in the package for an additional cost.
The island of Rab offers a unique wedding experience in Croatia since the island has 22 sandy beaches. For Catholic weddings, services can take place in churches or chapels and there are some interesting alternatives including: the beautiful gardens and column ruins of the Church and Monastery of St John the Evangelist, the old town’s open-air cinema, beaches, a beautiful vineyard by the sea or the lovely park surrounding the Grand Hotel Imperial. Both four-star Grand Hotel Imperial and its four-star sister hotel Carolina at Suha Punta are offering wedding packages.
Rab can also be a honeymoon destination for the couple. Essentially Prestige is offering seven nights at the Grand Hotel Imperial from £549 per person inclusive of return flights from Heathrow on Croatia Airlines, transfers, accommodation on BB basis and one free night’s accommodation.
In Dubrovnik, a five-star wedding experience is available with non religious weddings and blessings conducted by an official registrar at the five star Excelsior Hotel and Spa, its sister hotel, the five star Dubrovnik Palace or at the amazing Lighthouse Grebeni. The Lighthouse has a huge terrace that can accommodate up to 25 people and is just a five-minute speedboat ride from the Dubrovnik Palace hotel. At the Dubrovnik Palace couples can tie the knot on a number of beautiful terraces, on the beach, at the poolside or on the big rooftop terrace by the spa.
Celebration after the official wedding ceremony can be small and sophisticated or include a full-blown gala dinner with dancing and even fireworks. Prices for Dubrovnik weddings are available on request.
A three-night stay at the Dubrovnik Palace Hotel costs from £379 per person inclusive of return flights on British Airways from London Gatwick, airport transfers, accommodation on BB basis and an early booking saving of £52 per couple if booked by 31 January 2012.
Both destinations are easily reached from the UK: Dubrovnik is served from nine UK airports plus Dublin with a flight time from London of 2.5 hours and Rab has flights from London Heathrow and London Stansted to Rijeka airport with just a 2 hour flight time.
