Germany’s leading tour operator TUI has declared Croatia as the leading tourist destination for the forthcoming summer season.
TUI has reported a very strong demand for Croatia, saying that last month Croatia registered a 57 per cent increase in the bookings on the German market. The tour operator added that the country’s entry into the European Union would further boost its tourism trade.
Apart from Croatia, the operator has seen a strong demand for Bulgaria and the Canary Islands as well as for long-haul packages to the Indian Ocean, the USA and the Dominican Republic.
TUI has expanded its offer of low-cost charter flights to Croatia for the 2012 summer season, including Zadar airport in its programme. The operator offers over a hundred hotels, tours and adventure cruises in Croatia.
Last year, Croatia recorded an increase of 10 per cent of foreign visitors from Germany.
