Croatia Airlines will launch new flights and increase the number of existing flights during the 2012 tourist season, the airline announced last week.
The airline will introduce a new service to connect the coastal city of Zadar and Frankfurt. It will launch on April 27 and operate until October 12 two times a week, on Mondays and Fridays.
Croatia’s national carrier will also introduce a number of other seasonal flights offering direct connection between the German cities of Berlin, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Munich and Hamburg with destinations along the Adriatic coast and Zagreb.
Northern Adriatic city of Rijeka will be connected with direct flights to Barcelona from June 12. The service will operate once weekly (Tuesdays) until the end of October. Direct flights between Rijeka and London will be re-introduced and operate on Wednesdays for the duration of the summer season.
At the beginning of June, direct flights will be introduced between Split and Belgrade which will operate on Mondays and Fridays. A new flight service connecting Zadar and Paris will be introduced on May 1, and operate on Tuesdays until the end of October. The seasonal flight services connecting Zadar with Munich and Zurich will be introduced again this summer.
Direct flights between Zagreb and Barcelona will launch on March 29 and operate until the end of October three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Croatia Airlines will be also operating Zagreb-Athens-Dubrovnik flights. In mid-June, the airline will again introduce flights connecting Dubrovnik with Istanbul and Venice.
In domestic transport, Croatia Airlines plans to introduce the seasonal flight services between Zagreb and Bol on the island of Brac, and flights between Osijek and Split.
