Monarch Airlines, one of the oldest and most established UK airlines with over 50 years' travelling experience, has tipped Croatia as the best destination for beach holidays.

The airline, which carries over 6.5 million passengers a year and operates a fleet of 30 airplanes, said in a press release that Croatia has become one of their top destinations for a great beach holiday.

According to Monarch, there are few main reasons why the country has become popular for UK holidaymakers:

Best for beaches – Monarch says that if there was ever a reason to look up Croatia holiday offers, now is the time as this best kept secret is not going to remain secret for very long. The airline adds that along the country’s 5,000km of coastline are some fantastic beaches for swimming.

Perfect temperature – Croatia temperatures reach an average of 28 degrees in the summer time, which is enough to enjoy while exploring or lounging on the clear sandy beaches, yet not too hot so as to be uncomfortable.

City charms – Holidays to Croatia will provide any traveller the opportunity to enjoy the exploration of this historically rich county and soak up the atmosphere before retiring to the beaches which adjoin Dubrovnik, a beautiful city on the Adriatic coast, often referred to as the Pearl of the Adriatic.
