Hotel Regent Esplanade in Zagreb has won two prestigious international awards – The TripAdvisor 2012 Certificate of Excellence and The Great Rail Journeys Gold Food Award 2011.

TripAdvisor, the world's largest network community of travellers, awarded the Regent Esplanade in Zagreb the Certificate of Excellence for 2012. The certificate rewards excellence in the tourism and service industries across the world and is only awarded to facilities achieving outstanding guest ratings on the Trip Advisor.

Some of the reviews given by guests described the Regent Esplanade as “The best of the best”, “Elegant retreat” and “A touch of class”.

Ivica Krizmanic, General Director of the hotel said that Regent Esplanade are very proud of the fact that it has maintained first place in Zagreb for many years on the TripAdvisor web site.

"This award is true recognition of our excellence in providing superior service to guests and indeed it is a great achievement – because the rewards are derived from guests and their experience and satisfaction with the accommodation, food and service levels," added Krizmanic.

Hotel Regent Esplanade Zagreb also picked up The Great Rail Journeys Gold Food Award 2011. Great Rail Journeys are UK’s largest travel specialist in escorted holidays by train offering over 230 individual rail tours to over 40 countries. Every year the company awards gold, silver and bronze awards for their partners and hotels whose service is recognised by their clients.

The Gold List is Condé Nast Traveler's collection of the best hotels, resorts and cruise lines in the world. The list is based on results collected from the magazine's annual Reader's Choice Survey where some eight million votes are cast by savvy travellers.
