Croatian Tomislav Safundzic has put together a great time-lapse video of the Earth from space. The 18-year old who enjoys photography and video editing, created ‘This is Our Planet’ time-lapse video with photos compiled from the Image Science and Analysis Laboratory at the NASA-Johnson Space Center.
The video offers a spectacular view of the planet Earth, its continents and seas, the lights of cities, and the sky and stars seen from the International Space Station (ISS). ‘Intro’ by The xx, an English indie pop band, is the background music in the video.
Over the last seven days, since it has been online on Safundzic's Vimeo page, the video has attracted great attention and has been featured in world media. Ron Garan, an astronaut who was aboard ISS last year posted the video on his Google+ page on Monday with the comment: "This is Our Planet – Well worth the 2 minutes!”
