Chinese President Hu Jintao will visit Croatia on June 19 - 20 at the invitation of his Croatian counterpart Stjepan Mesic, Mesic's office said in a press release on Tuesday.

Jintao will meet with senior officials of the country, expecting to further strengthen their diplomatic ties and enhance cooperation in various fields. Apart from Mesic, Jintao is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Parliament Speaker Luka Bebic.

Jintao will be accompanied by his wife and associates as well as some 200 business people. The Croatian Chamber of Commerce will organise a Croatian-Chinese business forum which both presidents are expected to attend.

Mesic visited China in 2002 and met Jintao last year at the opening of the Olympics in Beijing as well.
