The island of Lastovo is located far out into the Adriatic, with a well-indented coast line, gravel and sandy beaches and a few small islets off its east and west coasts.

The largest town on this island of ancient pinewoods is Lastovo, a nice example of a Mediterranean hillside settlement. The houses here were built one above the other giving everybody the right to sunshine, air, and a gorgeous view of the sea.
